some malays bashed some others, some others bashed some malays, UMNO says it is a chinese conspiracy, the opposition says it was a factional fight in UMNO to get rid of TAR. in kota tinggi where i was in FORM 1, it was another normal day, malays, chinese, indians school kids attending another school day , then playing in harmony, those were the days. it was politicians fighting and then screwing malaysia. this is what i will tell my children if they ask in light of the abscence of any independent historical record of this event that was a watershed in malaysia
