lyanne batik, lyanne batik, lyanne batik

2007 has been an eventful year for lyanne batik, the highlights being:-
a. we won our first tender to supply to majlis perbandaran kuantan, around 1300 piecies of batik., well thats a 100% record, now in 2008, we have to go for more tenders, mainly for the ipts.
i am too sleepy now, will continue later after suboh, suboh sudah di buat, we participated in numerous other tenders where thousands of pieciesof batik were required and therein stumble upon the exact nature of the ails afflicting the malaysian batik industry. how can you ever produce thousands of piecies of batik in the name of god?,did leonardo da vinci produce more than one mona lisa? batik is an art!, and the heart of batik is the tjanting process thats where skilled artisan spend hours creating their mastepiece, my dear yb's yb's, datuks- datuks.when you need to produce thousands of piecies, what happened datuks -datuks? yes, for whatever peasized brain left, the whole art of batik is raped and pillaged, the sanctity of batik is violated, carpetbaggers will rush in, as they will surely do, where quick money is to be made, so that batik in malaysia is degenerating into a printing business.,printing textiles with machines cost as little as fifty cents in kepong, whilst the pure original batik tulis or chop ranges from rm10/- to rm 20/-per meter run.so , my dear kekwa and penyayang datuks- datuks, now that you have budgets of million of ringgit to promote malaysian batik for the world, have you ever pondered for a while and thought about what is it you are promoting, realtime batik or printed batik?wake-up lah. malaysian batik is begging to be definedand standardised or else it signals the end of all the batik artists and entrepreneurs, its not about kekwa, penyayang or ah wong batik, its about that one man who dedicates his life to the art of batik, like razalis batik, hes the one who will innovate and bring malaysian batik to the next level, he has no means to purchase expensive textile printing machinery, hes in it for the love of batik, standards are required, starting with the type and quality of the raw material, like how many threads there are, then say it out loud that it must be either batik tulis or batik chop, define malaysian batik, anything else must and should be rejected, where is sirim?, its fine to make a tjanting machine, but my dear good friend datuk zul,an efficient tjanting machine, if sirim can one day make it, will gut the heart of malaysian batik, so please order your boys to focus on a malaysian standard for batik covering from the beginning until packaging and delivery. it wont cost much, perhaps one or two of your engineers for a month, please do this, instead of the favourite @dmethod of others, i.e. overseas trips with the whole gang, enough lah.after fifty years of merdeka bila nak maju?.
